CBM Book Review - The Fool’s Babel: BOOK ONE: The Fenris Solution

By: Terry Richards
A CBM Christian Book Review
10.0 out of 10.0 stars

Terry Richards writes, The Fool’s Babel: BOOK ONE: The Fenris Solution. Written before Covid (interesting to note), the author sheds light on government secrets that go far beyond the norm. This book is a fiction Sci-Fi, yet is it?

However, after Covid, many ascertain that the question of fiction turning into reality might certainly be plausible! Written before Covid, this author brings readers up close to a battle of government secrets that have gone wrong. The Fenris Solution is a military battle, the evolution of an ancient virus, and biotechnical generation by the U.S. government, an unforgettable government conspiracy.

The Fenris Solution, book one of the series, The Fool’s Babel, brings the readers deep into something so sadistic that no one has ever encountered such a strange mutation of a deadly virus. Some can only be described as supernatural or demonic, let loose upon Earth. Sheer awe, action, and terror surround this book. Military characters, situations, and loads of military OP jargon– with an Index to help us civilians out offer readers fast-paced action from the start of this series.

So what is this secret? Is it a virus and a biological weapon? The answer is yes. But the answer lies in Fool’s Babel as to how this mutated virus developed into a monstrous “situation” demanding containment. Full of graphic battles, and things most people would classify as unbelievable, The author has written a book that breaks out of the box to ask the question: Could this really happen? You’ll find out in the Fenris Solution.

What readers will also discover is an incredible Sci-Fi Action/Adventure series that is an absolute page-turner, challenging readers to understand that secrets are dangerous, the government can be dangerous, and combine that with biological warfare – This is the stuff that makes fiction seem like it should not exist; however, rogue viruses do exist!

A highly recommended military innuendo and government conspiracy series! Readers, you won’t be able to put the book down.

You may get your copy of The Fool’s Babel: BOOK ONE: The Fenris Solution at Amazon or in Kindle as a download.

The Christian Book Reviewer presents Knowing HIM in His Word and Prayer

Title: Knowing HIM in His Word and Prayer
By: Thomas J. Mozden
A CBM Christian Book Review
10.0 out of 10.0 stars

Knowing HIM in His Word and Prayer by Thomas J. Mozden is a daily devotional study designed to meditate and dig deeper into God’s Word. Each devotional seeks to display and reveal the author’s meditation and thoughts that touched his being, as each scripture verse chosen, he felt led by the Holy Spirit to read. “His Word is alive, and it is here where you will find true life and the gateway to eternal life.” ~ writes the author. He hopes that readers will understand that God’s Word is alive and an all-consuming fire. It is also the author’s hope that each person picking up the book will be touched, inspired, and deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ ~ who paid such a high price for the free gift of salvation.

Several themes run throughout the book, as the author mentions 3 words that are repeated and non-negotiable in speaking of life in Christ. They are: Trust, forgiveness, and love. I love that he begins his book with the scripture verse Matthew 11:28 GNB, “Come to me, all of you who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest.”

His insights are compassionate, valuable, and give a fresh perspective to many who will come to understand that this author offers a contemplative interpretation of Scripture. I also came to appreciate his wisdom, insight, intelligence, and greatly valued his perspective.

This book will bring readers into a deeper relationship and understanding of the Word, as they seek the Lord in their own meditation, prayer, and their own perspective. Written for believers, but this also comes as a wonderful book to encourage others to believe in the Lord and to ignite faith, hope, strength, and love through reading God’s Word.

This book also comes highly recommended for those who seek a book written and guided by someone who is Holy Spirit-led in their writings.

CBM Christian Book Review - Discipleship for Authentic Christian Living – Glorifying God

Title: Discipleship for Authentic Christian Living – Glorifying God
By: Dr. Robert N. Carrow
A CBM Christian Book Review
10.0 out of 10.0

Creating a “single, concise, Scriptural overview of the authentic Christian life, helping Christians to become all that God has called them to be.” With that in mind, Robert Carrow, a Professor Emeritus of the University of Georgia and a long-time Bible teacher, deacon, and follower of Christ, releases Discipleship for Authentic Christian Living – Glorifying God.

In his new book,  Discipleship for Authentic Christian Living – Glorifying God, readers are encouraged and taught a Biblical overview of the Christian life and how to practically apply and meditate on scriptures with the aid of the Holy Spirit’s leading. This is an insightful book that gives real-life tools to discover your passion and live out the abundant life in Christ.

This book gives Christians the tools to enhance their walk with Christ, to become a disciple of Christ and a true believer in Christ. He states there is a difference. Understand that one can believe in Christ but not be walking the pathway of righteousness or abiding in Christ, but observing from the sidelines. Such a person is not one abiding under the shadow of the Almighty.

His book presents an easy-to-read overview of the Christian life. Within that Christian life are 7 sections that encompass a true, born-again believer, that will aid in maturity and vision for their life. Such steps are: Vision, Motivation, Primary purpose in life, Maturity in relationships ( with the Father, Son, Holy Spirit, believers, unbelievers), Ministry in Prayer, spiritual gifts, vocation, and all roles of life, Being an overcomer regardless of circumstances, and Leaving a Godly legacy.

As he states, “Thus, this is a study to help, especially in providing an overall vision of what the Christian life entails and the pathway to living it.”

This is a phenomenal study for personal or small group Bible study that provides a pathway to vision for your life and one that, as the title states, “Glorifies God.”

A highly wonderful and highly recommended read!

CBM Christian Book Review - Soiled Dove

Title: Soiled Dove
By: April Timms
A CBM Christian Book Review
10.0 out of 10.0 stars

This is a wonderful novel series by April Timms that speaks of a young girl, Clara, encountering a world of bondage, freedom, healing, and hope – Through an unspeakable family tragedy.

Soiled Dove, set back in the late 1800s, speaks of a tale of grace in overcoming human trafficking. Clara, once an outgoing, family-loving, and pure young girl, was unknowingly sent to an environment that darkened her very spirit born from the depths of sin and of human deprivation. Her father had believed that he was sending her off to save her; however, Clara was sold into desperate circumstances, moving from place to place as a child of sex-slavery. However, Clara finds salvation, redemption, and grace from the most unlikely places.

This is the story of resilience and good coming from the most evil of situations. Intertwining scripture verses and Clara’s experience (non-graphic), the author focuses on Clara’s emotions and captivity. Yet, Clara finds redemption, love, and restoration.

A captivating and heartbreaking story created from a ten-minute dream given by the Lord! The author (as a mental health trauma therapist) recounts this in her book. To say the least, this is a special book! Readers will wonder – perhaps, Clara Freemont did exist, as of yet, God it seems to be fighting on all fronts to end this pervasive depravity that affects many across the globe.

This is book 1 of the series, Soiled Dove. Readers who enjoy Christian fiction set in the 1800’s, this book is a mini-series in the making! Don’t miss - Soiled Dove - surely to become a classic.

Ten percent of the proceeds from this book fund an organization fighting human trafficking.

You may get your copy of Soiled Dove at Amazon and in Kindle as a download.

The Way to Peace, Contentment, and Hope in this Dark World

The Shepherd: Experiencing Psalm 23
james Collins
A CBM Christian Book Review
10.0 out of 10.0 stars

James Collins takes readers through the 23rd Psalm – giving readers the experience of one of the most popular Psalms in the Bible. He describes Psalm 23 as a psalm for all of life.

When faced with trials, tribulation, sorrow, and death – the Psalm gives comfort to all. When in need of hope – Psalm 23 gives comfort and courage to all who would seek to understand that we are His chosen people and we are the sheep of His (Christ’s) pasture. And He is the Good Shepherd, the Shepherd who cares for the sheep. There is no other Psalm like the 23rd Psalm to help one understand the care that the Shepherd gives to His sheep.

Within that the author endeavors to help readers understand the deeper meaning of the contrast between saying that Jesus is My Shepherd. The line that struck me was there are no wild sheep. If sheep run they will die in the wild. As such, he defines the absolute care and protection that the Shepherd brings to His flock. The Shepherd cares for each and every one, as a shepherd in the field cares for the sheep. He also mentions that even though Psalm 23 is often read at funerals, Psalm 23 is a psalm for all the days of our lives – to give life and hope.

With such chapters as: That’s Enough, The Right Path, Through the Valley, Behind Enemy Lines, The Best is Yet to Come, I Am the Good Shepherd, Shepherds and the Lamb with a chapter on How to Receive Christ – making this book an experience of Psalm 23 and a life-changing Psalm.

I love the interludes, the thought-provoking stories, and the way he summarizes what he writes in a simplistic way without too much theology or long-winded preaching. The author speaks from the heart as a Biblical counselor and pastor that comforts.

Wonderful insight and Biblical integrity envelope the book, giving readers hope, inspiration, comfort, courage, and hope. All will see that walking with the Lamb of God as the Good Shepherd is the way to peace, contentment, and hope in this dark world. It is the Good Shepherd who gave His life for the sheep.

Experiencing this book brings a deeper appreciation for the Cross and a greater understanding of Psalms 22, 23, and Psalm 24 as well. It was David who penned these psalms, which are still incredibly relevant for today. They also reveal the magnificence of Jesus Christ, the Messiah, who came to save the world and to die on a Cross for all who would receive Him. This is an exemplary book!

A highly recommended read for those looking for hope and encouragement amid fear, anxiety, worry, and depression – Psalm 23 is a lifetime Psalm for all.

Angels Unaware

Title: Angels Unaware
By: Johnny L. Dudley
A CBM Christian Book Review
10.0 out of 10.0 stars

Angels Unaware is a fantastic book presenting the ministry of angels, Biblical accounts of angels, and includes the author’s personal encounters with angels, as well as other testimonies of those who have experienced angels. Angels as the author notes, are ministering spirits sent to serve, guard, and protect the children of God. This small book not only teaches the Biblical accounts of those who have encountered angels as humans, but the ministry of a loving Father who the Bible affirms sends His angels among us (often unseen, some as humans) as ministering spirits (Hebrews). An amazing read!

From the angels in Sodom, the Angel of the Lord at Jericho, the angel that appeared to Gideon, Daniel’s angels sent to close the mouth of the lions to wonderful testimonies of encounters with these holy beings, the author has offered to readers an insightful, entertaining, and Biblical book on angels.

This book comes as a highly recommended read for those who desire truth on the subject that builds faith, builds trust, and furthers their resolve to continue serving the mighty God we serve. How wonderful it is to know our Father does not leave us abandoned in this world alone, just as the author states, but gives His angels charge over us.

A must-read book that will stir the Spirit within you, encourage you, build faith, and highlight the angelic and their functions!

You may get your copy of Angels Unaware at Amazon. Be sure to visit Author Johnny L. Dudley at Consecrated Press for some great ministry and information about the author and his books.

A Wonderful Must Read Christian Book

A CBM Christian Book Review
10.0 out of 10.0 stars

Dr. Paul C. Woodward writes
The Story of Kalev: The Sons of Hezron

This is an extraordinary, biblically based journey into the lives of the Hebrew slaves in Egypt, during and after the Ten Plagues. Using the Scriptures from the second book of Moses, The Exodus, as the framework, this book brings to life the greatest mass rescue mission in human history. This adventure shines a “too revealing” spotlight on the lives of Kalev (Caleb), Hoshe’a (Joshua) and Moshe (Moses). You will relate to the hopes, fears, maladies and maybe even their character flaws. They were simply normal people trying to survive horrendous circumstances. A damaged and broken Hebrew race that the all-powerful Yahweh (God Is) chose to call His own.

This novel reminds us all, that ordinary people like us can overcome and do miraculous things through God, and for His purposes.

Inspiring, full of scriptural architecture, the unknowing and woefully unprepared, Kalev blindly charged into a covert world of orphaned children turned to lethal guerrillas. Literally behind enemy lines, the very reluctant General Kalev joined his mother and brother in the seemingly impossible task of rescuing, training, providing for and leading, a partisan army of thousands of orphaned and abused children. And doing it all, right under the noses of one of the most evil empires in history.

Captivating! This book is the first in the series, True to Yahweh. General: The Story of Kalev: The Son of Hezron, reveals the deplorable and often fatal conditions of a Hebrew slave in Egypt. This biblically based narrative, “puts skin on” the broken people of the Exodus.

On the same day, all the water in Egypt turned to blood, you’ll be Introduced to the main characters, Kalev (Caleb), Hoshe’a (Joshua) and eventually Kalev’s most hated foe, the ex-prince Moshe (Moses). The novel sheds light on the once, woefully silent God of their forefathers. Dr, Woodward earned a PhD. in Theological studies from Logos University. His keen biblical accuracy, brilliant description, and wonderful character development, offers readers an HD, first person point of view of the wonderous displays of God’s Mighty Hand.

For those that enjoy novels, but want them to adhere to biblical truth, this novel and series comes highly recommended.

Insightful! This novel is a triumphant look into God’s personable nature, revealing His attributes as our kind, merciful, patient and even hilarious Creator. It also peals back the curtain and reveals another facet of God’s personality– that of a Warrior King, and as the author put’s it, “the quintessential Mother Bear!” Readers will relish in Yahweh’s unique and very personal relationships. This book celebrates The God who created humour. He actually laughs and playfully teasing the ones He’s “especially fond of.”.

Describing what life was like in those ancient days, this book brings to life the lives of Kalev (Caleb), Hoshe’a (Joshua), and their family. Intertwining a fast-paced read that involves an orphan army raised by the brothers and their mother. Triumphs, sorrows, romance and the like, explode into their world as they weigh the humbling and very dangerous possibilities of truly following our Yeshua (deliverer). Escaping Pharaoh's armies, only 1/3 of all the Hebrew slaves chose to “blindly trust” their previously silent, and possibly powerless God Yahweh. Eventually, the highly trained orphan Army is joined by thousands of emotionally scarred, and broken Hebrew families as they fearfully, yet bravely gather in the no-man’s land of the bleak Egyptian Desert.

A highly recommended entertaining Biblically based read! You may get your copy of General: The Story of Kalev: The Sons of Herzon at Amazon and in Kindle.

CBM Book Review - Why Bad Things Happen in Your Game of Life

Title: Why Bad Things Happen in Your Game of Life:
Since You’re in the Game, Play to Win!
By: Harry E. Hubbard
A CBM Christian Book Review
10.0 out of 10.0 stars

Why do bad things happen to good people? That is the ultimate question. Most will end up blaming God the author states. However, this incredible book offers immense hope and points readers to Jesus Christ. Designed as a video game the author describes the two entities at war (good vs. evil) from a Biblical viewpoint. In a video game there are two opposing teams, rounds, levels and rules.

With this analogy, Harry E. Hubbard, explains to readers that life also has opposing teams and rules. Know the rules, check the Creator’s Manual (the Bible) and you can make the right choices. Why Bad Things Happen in Your Game of Life is an easy-to-read and easy-to-understand book that presents great Biblical truths in a fun and interesting manner. Reaching generations of youth and adults alike, this book will encourage and inspire one to win at the game we call - life. Do not miss this book!

The author offers an introduction presenting an overview of the spiritual realm that controls the battles that we do not see. The physical world and the world system collide on a spiritual plane one might not be aware of and you, dear reader, have spiritual weapons to fight this unseen fight that God has given you. Many Christians do not understand the fight, nor how to have victory in Christ. The author offers a deep understanding of the victory that is available. Further explaining the reality of life, he introduces the readers to deep doctrinal truths without overwhelming the reader. This is truly appreciated and a way to understand without reading theological books, which can be difficult.

With such chapters as: The Game of Life, Life Perspectives, The Serpent’s Fall Guy, The Game Master is Not Powerless and so much more, this is a fascinating read! In today’s age of video games and cell phones, this is one of those books that will reach out to the generation of youth of today.

What is appreciated the most about the book is a how to take back what you’ve lost in this life and to renew your mind in Christ. He writes from a place of compassion and he is well-seasoned in life’s experiences. He brings a balanced approach to Christian life principles that gives great hope to those who have been wounded within his book as well.

*Additionally, many resources are included in the back if you need help, counseling, or resources to aid in your healing.

“Winners don’t just wander over the finish line.” ~ A great quote from the Hubbard.

A Must-Read and a wonderfully done book offering Biblical truths in an easy-to-read and applicable format!

Children's Inspirational Books - Wings and a Prayer

Title: Wings and a Prayer
By: Joe Rose
A CBM Christian Book Review
10.0 out of 10.0

Joe Rose, a talented artist and writer, presents an exciting and adventurous story of Blossom, the caterpillar who dreams of becoming a butterfly with beautiful wings. Blossom learns throughout the book, as she dreams of having wings that her transformation from a caterpillar to a butterfly isn’t what she thought it would be. In her mind, things didn’t go as planned. She learns to put all her trust in the Lord and her best friend, Tyler, a branch spider, who knows all too well that Blossom needs much encouragement.

The story of Blossom’s metamorphosis from the cocoon to learning how to fly with the “unlikely” wings, can be humorous at times, as well as a colorful journey brings Blossom’s story to life. Children and adults alike will appreciate Blossom, Tyler, and her determination to have wings. In the end, Blossom learns God had a plan all along and that he blessed her with incredible talent to help others from her own experience.

Using this analogy of a butterfly and based on Jerimiah 17:7, “Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him,” ~ Author Joe Rose, speaks to small children (ages 6-8) teaching them to pray, rely and trust on the Lord, even when one doesn’t understand. God has His plan and works His best for us. Along the way, issues such as self-acceptance, determination, overcoming, and waiting on God’s perfect timing offering hope in alternative outcomes that shine through. God works all things together for good (Romans 8:28).

This is a wonderfully expressive and artistic book that children will love and cherish. Parents will certainly want a copy to give to their children, or perhaps grandchildren. ~ A delightful read!

Additionally, this book makes a great gift for family, friends, loved ones, neighbors, and co-workers.

He Who Sticks Closer Than A Brother - Devotions With A Friend

Ken Tatum's
Devotions With A Friend
___________

The book is a 21-day daily devotional, stemming from Ken’s time hearing from God and his life experiences. I like that Ken shares the thoughts and expressions that God put on his heart in regards to each subject that he shares which includes a scripture verse, a daily devotional, and ends with a Prayer Emphasis.

This 21-day devotional relates to subjects such as Grace, The Great Choreographer, Good King Bad King, Dry Bones: A Mystical Vision, Who is My Enemy and so much more which makes this an enjoyable book to sit down and read.

Intriguing commentary, alongside sometimes humorous experiences, from the author that challenge, uplift, teach, exhort, and encourage. All his commentaries come from a life seeking God, and daily striving to hear and follow the commands of Jesus. Very nicely written.

Reading Devotions from a Friend is similar to sitting down with a trusted friend and discussing various topics with a treasured friend over a cup of coffee or a meal. The author suggests making a routine out of sitting down and ingesting the Word of God, stating, “…remember, while scheduling time with God is a great spiritual discipline, the most important thing is that you spend time with Him.” I loved reading Devotions with a Friend,

CBM Book Review - Biblical Psychology for End -Time Believers

Title: Biblical Psychology for End-Time Believers:
Human Nature Revealed by God in Scripture
By: Dr. Don Ott
A CBM Christian Book Review
10.0 out of 10.0+

Human Nature…who can understand why a person does something or acts a certain way? Add the End-Times to the mix, secular psychologists can come up with a variety of syndromes, names, and factors. But what if there was something else…someone, like our Creator, who gave us the blueprint to gain wisdom and insight into human nature? The author gives an exemplary read that gives urgency in these End-Times to understand human nature.

Dr. Don Ott explores past psychological history and offers an overview of when the shift came from Biblical to secular with writings. Within this, the understanding from the Bible, which was tossed aside by modern psychology in the late 19th century, reveals human nature, as given by God in Scripture! Designed with the End-Time believer in mind, his Introduction discusses this “crossroad” in secular psychology vs. Biblical psychology.

Advocating a life in Christ and quoting 1 John 5:11-12, “God has given us eternal life, and this life in His Son. Whoever has the Son has life, whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.” This understanding is that there is life only in Christ, available to all believers, as such this is a culmination of 18 months of “a labor of love” and developed from a lifetime in the field of psychology and ministry to the Lord.

Each chapter takes a look at human nature from in 7 stages from the Bible: The created, corrupted, regulated, redeemed, regenerated, sanctified, and glorified. One then may ask, “What do those stages or categories mean?” Dr. Ott explains in his book with accuracy and an understanding of Scripture, psychology, alongside years in the field, the nature of man to shed light on each stage of human nature. This is key to understanding human nature at its core, Biblically.

This is a wonderful book that encompasses a true understanding of psychology from a Biblical perspective for the End-Time believer. I would recommend this book to all believers at this time, as we are in the end times! Dr. Ott has given such an understanding of the human soul and nature that cannot be overlooked, with also, the welcome advice of how to behave in a time “such as this.”

Also, this book comes highly recommended to all those in leadership roles, in pastoral roles, and the congregation at large. An easy, fascinating and relevant read!

CBM Book Review - The Faithful: The Chronicles of Trinian

Title: The Faithful: The Chronicles of Trinian
By: Terrence L. Rotering
A CBM Book Review
10.0 out of 10.0 stars

The Faithful: The Chronicles of Trinian by Terrence L. Rotering is the first book in the series.

This is an epic adventure into the heart of man and God’s plan. Offering a timeline beginning with the creation and the fall of man, this series presents the tale and saga of the Truth Keepers and a Great Awakening of the Faithful. The series presents three different ages of time.

The Faithful begins with Abner, a faithful teacher of the Word who succumbs to temptations instigated from his own “flesh” and the spiritual realm. The author depicts how these fallen angels work amongst men to lead them into despair. Abner succumbs to such hopelessness spurned from a life void of love and admiration Abner thought he would have from his family, giving them his all and being a wonderful provider. Abner becomes aware that something was missing, being keenly aware of the isolation and depression that was “entombing” his heart. The author unfolds the battles we all face in our “flesh” as these weapons of the fallen angels are perpetrated upon mere men.

Rotering is an excellent writer, offering a novel that parallels the story of salvation, regeneration, and sanctification through the characters, showing us that God’s ways are the best and His path is the only way to life, life everlasting. Ever defining that man’s ways, thoughts, and desires are futile. Loving God first is a resounding theme.

However, demons sent from Lucifer often prey upon weak humans with thoughts of power and use such weapons as loneliness, lust, self-pity, temptation to sin, bitterness, anger, selfishness, etc., to catch their prey. Darkness (the demons) were ever so happy to fill the void in men’s hearts with things that would lead them on the wrong path – the path to destruction.

Fascinating, the author weaves Scripture, Biblical truth, justice, and a Savior who bought redemption for all those who are willing to turn to Him in repentance. An exciting epic journey into a blend of Biblical truth, the spiritual realm, and the plight of mankind.

A Must-Read Saga - The Faithful, Stand, Forever, and The Chronicles of Trinian.

You may get your copy of The Faithful: The Chronicles of Trinian at Amazon or in Kindle as a download.
